Sandhills Bank completes three branch purchases

NORTH MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) - Sandhills Bank has completed purchasing three branches formerly owned by Horry County State Bank. Branch locations include Myrtle Beach and North Myrtle Beach.

Sandhills assumed all of the deposits and acquired the premises and fixed assets of the branches as well as some loans.

The branch locations are: 

4400 Highway 17 South in North Myrtle Beach, SC

4600 Highway 17 Bypass South in Myrtle Beach, SC

273 Carolina Forest Boulevard in Myrtle Beach, SC

The management teams of Sandhills and HCSB will remain unchanged. Sandhills is led by President and Chief Executive Officer Jim Smith.

Smith said, “We are very excited about expanding our branch network and serving additional segments of the Grand Strand area."

The Sandhills Bank will open Monday August 10.
