Carolina Brotherhood bikers ride from Myrtle Beach to Charleston

MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) Carolina brotherhood bikers rode from Myrtle Beach to Charleston on Saturday in honor of those lost in the line of duty.

Carolina brotherhood is a benefit ride that creates support both financially and emotionally for families of emergency responders lost in the line of duty in the Carolina's.The group of cyclists is comprised entirely of firefighters, police officers, and emergency personnel from throughout North and South Carolina 

The riders were headed to The Charleston River Dogs stadium from Myrtle Beach this morning. The route the riders take varies from year to year as they cycle across the Carolina's in honor of fallen brothers and sisters. During the ride Saturday, stops were made at firehouses on the way to Charleston.

The Carolina brotherhood Facebook page said, "as we ride into Charleston today - we ride to remember the fallen. They are the reason we exist and why we ride. Today we honor Deputy Joseph Matuskovic of the Charleston County Sheriff's Office, Patrolman Robert Blajsczak of the Summerville Police Department, and of course the#‎Charleston9? ?#‎NeverForget? ?#‎CBH15?

The page also said, "as we arrived at the Charleston River Dogs stadium the Charleston Fire Department Fire Boat was waiting on us! 6 days, MORE than 600 miles!"
