MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) – Members of the Myrtle Beach Police Department awarded “Hydration Specialist” Carmelo Robinson with a gift on Friday for being a team player and for his positivity during the Blue Lights vs. Red Stripes game that took place earlier this summer.

Chief Gall, Captain Heins, Captain Prock, Pfc. Hyde and Krystal Dotson presented Robinson with a Dallas Cowboys football jersey, according to the MBPD Facebook page.

On Saturday, June 27, the Myrtle Beach Police and Fire Departments teamed up with the Boys and Girls Club for a flag football game at Ashley Booth Field in Myrtle Beach.

The goal was to build friendships and respect between the youth and public servants.

It was a total touchdown, and the game ended in a 40-to-40 tie after four quarters.
