FLORENCE, SC (WMBF) – A Florence County Sheriff’s Deputy and his K9 found large amounts of heroin and liquid PCP during a vehicle stop, according to a Facebook post from the kennel that trained them.

Deputy Jason Bazen and his K9 Nemo graduated from the Ventosa Kennel’s K9 Handlers’ course just three weeks ago, the Facebook post states.

During a motor vehicle stop, Nemo alerted to the presence of narcotics, the post states. A search of the vehicle turned up six ounces of heroin and 450 grams of liquid PCP, the post states. Major Mike Nunn with FCSO confirmed that a deputy did make a bust which included PCP, but did not have further details.

“Keep up the great work guys. That is a great haul!” the Ventosa Kennel post states.
