MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) – Kenneth Michael Green, Jr. has been arrested in connection with the bank robbery that occurred Tuesday morning at Conway National Bank, according to Lt. Joey Crosby.

Lt. Crosby says he anticipates that Green will have a bond hearing on Wednesday.

Myrtle Beach Police responded to a bank robbery on 21st Avenue North Tuesday morning, police confirmed.

The robbery occurred at the Conway National Bank at 1353 21st Avenue North, near the Courtyard Marriott, confirmed Lt. Joey Crosby with MBPD.

Green handed the bank employee a note demanding money and stating he had a gun, according to Green’s arrest warrants. He then fled the scene.

Officers and bank staff reviewed surveillance camera footage and released photos of the suspect at about noon on Tuesday. The photos show that the suspect robbed the bank at 10:48 a.m.

The release of the surveillance images resulted in five positive identifications of Green as the suspect who committed the robbery, the arrest warrants state.

Green was booked into Myrtle Beach Jail charged with entering a bank with intent to steal.

Green was previously arrested by Myrtle Beach Police, booked into J. Reuben Long Detention Center on July 15 on shoplifting and disorderly conduct charges, and released on Monday July 27, according to online records.
