HORRY COUNTY, SC (WMBF) - Officers responded to Spain Lane Thursday for a disorderly complaint involving two males attempting to remove a vehicle off a tow truck, according to the Conway Police Department.

Prior to the incident location, Horry County dispatch notified responding units of a repossession in progress.
Horry County also alerted responding units that two male subjects were attempting to remove a black vehicle from the tow service vehicle.

Upon arriving, officers saw a black Cadillac Escalade partially hanging from the back lift of the tow vehicle, and was also running in the forward driving gear with the wheels spinning.

It appeared that someone attempted to remove the Escalade from the tow vehicle while the tow vehicle was attempting to put the black vehicle in tow position, according to police.

After investigation, it was determined that the tow company owner/driver arrived at the incident to repossess the black Cadillac Escalade. The owner backed the rear of the Escalade and raised the vehicle on the ground in tow position. The owner also stated that the delinquent owner and his acquaintance came out of the residence yelling profanities towards him. The delinquent owner got into the Escalade, and put the vehicle into operational mode, then attempted to drive off the tow vehicle's raised rack, causing damage to the tow vehicle and repossessed the vehicle.

The tow company owner also said the delinquent owner got into a white colored vehicle and pulled it to the front of the repossessed vehicle. The delinquent owner hooked a chain to the white vehicle and to the repossessed vehicle. The driver then got back into the driver's seat of the repossessed vehicle while the acquaintance occupied the drivers position of the white vehicle.
The owner stated that the two continued to remove the repossessed vehicle from tow vehicle, however were unsuccessful with this attempt.

After the investigation was completed, the delinquent owner and the acquaintance were handcuffed and arrested.
The delinquent owner was cited for disorderly conduct,  malicious damage and reckless driving. The second acquaintance was cited for disorderly conduct and reckless driving.
