A victim was not found immediately, but officers were notified there was a gunshot victim at the local hospital.

The 18-year-old male victim, was receiving medical treatment for a superficial gunshot wound.

Shortly later, officers responded to Morgan Road near the NC state line to meet with a second victim who is a 27-year-old female. The female reported that she received a phone call advising her to pick up her children from a residence on Bennett Loop because of an altercation that was about to take place.

According to Horry County Police, she also reported that when arriving on scene, a large crowd was in the street so she parked and went inside the home. She heard gunfire erupt and waited until it cleared before leaving with her children. When she went home, she noticed blood on the passenger seat and a strong smell of gas (from a gunshot to the gas tank), however no one in her vehicle was hurt.
