Man wanted for shooting cousin in Marion captured in Myrtle Beach

MARION, SC (WMBF) - The man wanted for shooting his cousin in Marion on Saturday was captured in Myrtle Beach Thursday, according to officials.

Gregory Crawford, 28 was captured with the help of the State Law Enforcement Division's Fugitives Team, and will be extradited back to the City of Marion, according to Marion Police Chief Dewayne Tennie.

Chief Tennie said the shooting happened on Liberty Street on Saturday, just before 6:30 p.m. 

Crawford has three warrants: one for attempted murder, one for possession of a firearm, and one for discharging a firearm within city limits. The Marion Police Chief said, his department doesn't have any previous warrants for Gregory Crawford.

Chief Tennie said Crawford shot his cousin twice in the stomach. At last check, Crawford's cousin was recovering.
