Conway Police: female suspect wanted in connection to two armed robberies

CONWAY, SC (WMBF) – The Conway Police Department is asking for the public’s help in locating a suspect believed to be connected to two armed robberies that occurred in Conway on Friday.

In both robberies, the suspect is described as a white female with brown hair and possibly 5 feet to 5-feet-2-inches in height and weighing between 160-170 pounds. The suspect may be driving a gray, four door sedan.

Around 4:45 p.m., officers of the Conway Police Department responded to Pet Safari located at 1807 Oak St. in reference to a report of an armed robbery.

Around 8:45 p.m., officers also responded to Bellacino’s located at 1600 Main Street in reference to a report of an armed robbery.

Upon arrival at both businesses, officers were advised that the suspect came in and demanded money and fled in a gray sedan.

    A candle light vigil was held on January 20, 2018, in honor of 14-year old Taylor Ibarra or “Tay Tay”, who took his own life during Christmas break last year after his family members say he was bullied at school. Taylor was in 8th grade and attended Aynor Middle School.
