CONWAY, SC (WMBF) A Conway church was Presidential hopeful Mike Huckabee's second stop during his campaign across South Carolina.

Earlier he first stopped at a church in Manning, SC earlier in the day.

Before speaking to the Congregation, Huckabee spoke about his focus for the 2016 presidential race.

He says the next president should be most concerned with bringing in new jobs, and improving our national security. He says those won't happen without a moral compass though.

Thats why I hope that part of the discussion of the next presidency is about the moral leadership, as well as the economic and the military leadership, Huckabee explained.

Huckabee also talked about the racial issues in the state and country, saying he believes the solution is simple.

We dont resolve racial issues by having a conversation, we resolve them by having a conversion, He said. If I love God, I cant hate anybody.

Huckabee eventually joined the service, but we aren't sure exactly what was said, because THE press was asked to leave the building     His communications team tells us this was a religious stop, not a campaign stop.

When we spoke to the folks inside, they told us the campaign was definitely on their minds during the service.

"Well, he talked about the constitution, and our responsibility to our country, and he could not understand some of the decisions of the Supreme Court, said Lois Eargle when asked about Huckabees participation in the service.

Huckabee also ran for President back in 2008 and received the second most votes of all republican candidates in the South Carolina primary.

So far this year, Huckabee has done 30 events in South Carolina around 14 different counties.
