Police release sketch of Myrtle Beach shooting suspect

MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) – Police have released a composite sketch of the suspect wanted for a Sunday shooting in Myrtle Beach that left one man injured.

Officers responded to the area of 1501 N. Ocean Blvd in reference to a shooting incident. The investigation revealed that the victim was a passenger in a vehicle. While stopped in traffic, the victim exchanged words with a male walking on the sidewalk.  The victim and the male subject got into a physical altercation. During that altercation, the male subject produced a gun and shot the victim, according to Lt. Joey Crosby.

The victim was transported to the hospital where he is being treated.

The suspect is described as a white male in his twenties, slim build, and last seen wearing a black shirt and shorts, according to police.

Police also say the suspect fled north on Ocean Blvd.

No arrests have been made at this time.
