PEMBROKE, NC (WMBF) – A 35-year-old man is accused of inappropriately touching a teenager and locking her in a building after allegedly opening a store in Pembroke to get young girls to interview there.

Caroles Locklear allegedly opened a store in a building in Pembroke to get girls aged 14 to 17 to interview for jobs, according to an official with the Robeson County Sheriff’s Office. He’s accused of touching one of them inappropriately and locking her in the building.

The girl was able to escape and reported what happened to her to authorities in Pembroke, the official said.

Locklear was arrested Thursday and charged with kidnapping, sexual battery, and assault of a female, the official confirmed. Locklear is being held at the Robeson County Detention Center on a $250,000 bond.

The Robeson County Sheriffs Office says this is still an ongoing investigation. If there are any other victims, please contact the Sheriffs Office
