17-year-old boy injured in Bennettsville shooting

BENNETTSVILLE, SC (WMBF) – A 17-year-old was shot in his right forearm while walking down Wearing Street in Bennettsville, early Friday morning, according to Bennettsville Police Lieutenant Larry Turner.

Around 4:15 a.m., Bennettsville police responded to the shooting where the boy and his brother and some friends who he had been walking with told them they did not know where the bullet came from. Lt. Turner says that they went to a hospital by themselves and the boy was released with a non-life threatening injury.
