Ramon Sessions makes return to the Grand Strand

MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (WMBF) - Myrtle Beach native and veteran NBA journeyman Ramon Sessions never forgets his roots, and is back home again this week, passing on hoops lessons to kids for the eighth straight summer in his basketball camp. Sessions said he always enjoys the chance to teach others that hard work can get one far, whether sports is involved or not.

"It seems like it gets better and better every year," Sessions said of the camp. "Just to come back each year and see the smiles and faces on the kids. You know I've been gone so long and still get the support (for the camp), and it's a great turnout."

Sessions' camp sold out its 150 allotted spots once again this year.

As far as his job goes, Sessions has one more year left on his current NBA deal, and plans to stay with the Washington Wizards. They are a team poised to get to the playoffs over the next few years. It's the seventh club he has been a member of in his eight seasons in the league.
