Horry County kicks off second Camp Pride

MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) – The Horry County Police Department’s second Camp PRIDE 2015 kicked off this morning at Blackwater Middle School in Conway.

Camp PRIDE is a three-week day camp for youth 11 – 15 years of age that focuses on discipline, resourcefulness and teamwork among the campers through adventure and structure, according to a news release from the Horry County Police Department.

The free camp is Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and runs July 13 through July 31.

Camp PRIDE is sponsored by partnerships with the HCPD, various businesses and through public and private donations.
