Suspects arrested for vehicle theft in Darlington

DARLINGTON, SC (WMBF) - Approximately 3:12 a.m. Saturday morning, a woman on Sheffield Dr. noticed the door to her husbands vehicle was open and two black males were under her carport. The victim yelled at the subjects and they fled the area on foot, according to Darlington Police.

Another witness saw several more subjects leaving the area and called 911.

Suspects were stopped on North Street with the assistance from the South Carolina Highway Patrol.

Police say, several items belonging to victims from the area were found in the vehicle that the suspects were in.

Kendrick Tafari Edwards age 17, Corneliuis Marcus Brown age 19, Kevonte Jamarcus Felder age 17, Dominique Markel Robinson age 17, and Quinterris Jovon Carmichael age 17 were charged with Larceny less Than $2000. Edwards was also charged with Possession of Stolen Handgun and Driving Under Suspension. The suspects were transported to the Darlington County Detention Center without incident.

    A fire at Heavenly Grace Ministries Church in the Myrtle Beach area just after midnight Wednesday has been deemed suspicious, according to officials. Horry County Fire Rescue responded to the church on Peachtree road at 12:13 a.m. Wednesday, according to an HCFR news release.
