Mother and son arrested following deadly shooting in Lumberton

ROBESON COUNTY, SC (WMBF) – A mother and her son have been arrested following the fatal shooting of a Lumberton man that occurred during an argument on the night of July 8 on Rozier Church Road, according to Major Anthony Thompson, Chief of Detectives for Robeson County Sheriff’s Office.

Donell Junior Hardin, age 49, of 330 Rozier Church Rd. in Lumberton, was found dead on the roadway by RCSO deputies, after the sheriff’s office received a call regarding the shooting at 10:13 p.m.

Jennifer Wynn, age 60, and her son, Semoan Wynn, age 29, both of 267 Rozier Church Rd. in Lumberton, were arrested on July 9 and placed in the Robeson County Detention Center under secured bonds.

Jennifer Wynn, who was identified as the shooter, is charged with voluntary manslaughter and her bond is set at $15,000. Semoan Wynn is charged with possession of a firearm by felon and his bond is set at $2,500.

It is unclear what the argument was about between Hardin and Semoan Wynn prior to the shooting, according to the news release from the RCSO.

Hardin’s death is still under investigation Homicide Division of the Robeson County Sheriff’s Office.
