Saturday morning motorcycle crash leaves one dead in Hartsville

A pedestrian died after he was struck by a vehicle Saturday. A pedestrian died after he was struck by a vehicle Saturday.

HARTSVILLE, SC (WMBF) - A Hartsville man died after a motorcycle accident on Sixth Street shortly after 10 a.m. Saturday.

Jerry Mitchell, 35-years-old of Hartsville, was pronounced dead at the scene, according to Darlington County Coroner J Todd Hardee.

Mitchell was driving a motorcycle when he collided with a vehicle on Sixth Street in Hartsville.

Darlington County Coroner's Office, Hartsville Police Department, and the South Carolina Highway Patrol MAIT Team are still investigating this accident.
