Lumberton Police investigating shooting Saturday morning

LUMBERTON, NC (WMBF) - Lumberton Police were dispatched early Saturday morning to reports of shorts fired.

Officers responded to the area of Meadowview Apartments located at 3650 Meadowview Road at 5:14 a.m.

When officers arrived, they found one person shot in the area of Apartment 10. 

29-year-old Kevin Lamont Stephens "AKA Kel-bo, was pronounced dead at Southeastern Health Hospital, according to Lumberton Police.

Investigators are still questioning two people who may be involved in the shooting.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Lumberton Police Department.
