Power restored after fallen tree limb causes outage in Longs

HORRY COUNTY, SC (WMBF) – Power went out Friday afternoon for about 831 Horry Electric Cooperative customers in Longs, according to online information from the company. A tree limb caused downed power lines on Fremont Avenue in Longs, a company representative confirmed.

The Horry Electric Cooperative Outage map shows the outage is centered just west of Longs, and as of 3 p.m. Friday, was affecting 831 people. The outage was first reported at 2:39 p.m., and power was restored by about 4 p.m.
