Trees down, roads flooded in Pee Dee counties

DARLINGTON, SC (WMBF) - Down power lines were reported in Florence, according to the National Weather Service.

The lines had fallen near the intersection of East Old Marion Highway and Weatherford Lane.

In addition, flooded roads have been reported in Darlington County, according to the National Weather Service.

Officials have closed the intersection of Cashua Ferry Road and Pocket Road due to flooding.

Officials said a portion of Billy Farrow Highway was flooded. 

In addition, multiple reports of fallen trees surged in Darlington on Thursday.

A downed tree was reported on Pocket Road and Oxford Road, according to the National Weather Service.

Also, trees were downed on Gilchrist Road and North Main Street.

A tree down on East McIver near Wellman Road was also reported.

A severe thunderstorm watch remains in effect until 9 p.m.
