HORRY COUNTY, SC (WMBF) - Nearly 100 people showed up at an Horry County gym to show raise money and support for the Mother Emmanuel AME church.

ISI Elite held a boot camp Wednesday and raised $1,200 in donations.

For a $10 donation, people were able to participate in a one-hour boot camp.

The owner of ISI says it's not about the money but the message.

“It's not about the money, it's about being an example and showing the unity of all these different races and we really are the same. When we leave this earth, there is no color," said Adam Rice, ISI Elite owner.

A prayer ceremony was held before the workout got started.

The shooting at Emanuel AME in downtown Charleston happened June 17. Nine people were killed including the pastor, Sen. Clementa Pinckney.
