SCOTLAND COUNTY, NC (WMBF) – Two men were arrested after two separate narcotics investigations in Wagram last week; investigators found marijuana, cocaine, an AR-15 assault rifle, and potted marijuana plants, according to a news release from the Scotland County Sheriff’s Office.

The SCSO Narcotics Division arrested Joseph Frederick Lewis, of Wagram, after serving a search warrant at his home on Hillcreek Road on Friday, June 26. At the conclusion of the search warrant, investigators found 51 grams of marijuana, cocaine, and drug paraphernalia. The search also turned up a loaded AR-15 assault rifle, according to officials.

Lewis and another occupant were charged with illegal narcotics and weapon violations. Lewis was placed into the detention center on a $75,000 secured bond until his first appearance in court on June 26.

Lewis was also charged and convicted in connection to several drug-related charges back in October 2012 after a search warrant of his residence in July 2011.

Also on June 26, the Narcotics Division arrested Reginal Wendell Fairly at his home on Louis Drive. Investigators found several potted marijuana plants that were about four feet tall, according to the news release.

Fairly was charged with manufacturing marijuana and maintaining a dwelling for the purposes of manufacturing marijuana.
