Josh Cameron earns summer league invite

CONWAY, S.C. (WMBF) - Coastal Carolina basketball has yet to have a player in the NBA, including Tony Dunkin, who was the Big South Player of the Year for all four years at CCU - the only player to ever earn those types of accolades at the division one level.

Yet now, Josh Cameron has a chance to set a new standard in the next week down in Orlando. Cameron has made the Memphis Grizzlies NBA Summer League roster. The league runs from July 4th through the tenth and will have ten teams competing in it.

Everyone will play five games in that span, with the hopes of getting an invite to a training camp later this summer. Summer league games will be broadcast on NBA TV.

In two years at Coastal Carolina, Cameron averaged 13.3 points per game and took the team to two straight NCAA Tournament appearances.
