WMBF NEWS: Updated Power Outage Map and Storm Reports.

  Power outages are being reported across Florence, Darlington, Dillon, Marion, Horry and Williamsburg counties due to the strong storms that are moving through the area. 

Duke Energy is reporting over 4,500 people are without power across the area. They are hoping to have all the power restored by 12:15 AM if not sooner.

Florence County: 

Tree down at 3rd loop road and S Mayfair Terrace.

Tree down at the intersection of Jefferson Dr. and S. Cashua Dr. 

Tree down at the intersection of Blitsgel road and S Arundel Dr. 

Tree down at Lamar Hwy amd Friday Rd. 

Tree down at the intersection or Peniel Rd and Twin Church Rd 

Tree down at the intersection of Old Wallace Gregg Rd ad Francis Marion Rd


Darlington County: 

Tree in roadway at Pisgah Rd and E. McIver road

Tree in roadway at the intersection of Georgetown Rd and Wachovia Hills Dr. 


Robeson County: 

Possible tornado damage: Report of roof off barn as well as trees and power lines in roadway near the intersection of HWY 201 and Chicken Rd near I-95/

    Traffic congestion is being reported on several spots along Highway 17 and Highway 17 Bypass from Surfside Beach to Georgetown as the total solar eclipse draws nearer. An alert from the South Carolina Department of Transportation states that US 17 southbound between the Garden City Connector and Indigo Club Drive is down to an average speed of just 7 miles per hour, for a length of about 9 miles.
