Police looking for Lumberton bank robbery suspect

LUMBERTON, NC (WMBF) – Police are searching for a man who robbed the First Bank in Lumberton on Friday afternoon, according to officials.

At about 2:16 p.m., a man entered the bank, located at 2801 North Elm Street, and left before officers arrived, according to the Lumberton Police Department. The man fled on foot, heading north from the bank across 29th Street towards 30th Street. No one was hurt in the robbery.

The suspect is described by police as an Indian male between 5-feet-10-inches and 6-feet tall, with a medium build, approximately. 210 to 220 pounds, wearing a ball cap backwards, a blue and white horizontally-striped shirt, khaki shorts rolled up above the knees, and tan work boots, possibly Timberlands.
