MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) - Private First Class Jameson with the Myrtle Beach Police Department spared a few moments while patrolling the streets of Myrtle Beach on Thursday, June 25, 2015 to kick ball with a young boy who was playing alone, according to the MBPD Facebook page.

The MBPD Facebook page states Pfc. Jameson enjoys being able to reach out to young people in the Myrtle Beach community.

In the spirit of building friendships with the community, the Myrtle Beach Police and Fire Departments will be teaming up with the Boys and Girls Club of the Grand Strand for a flag football game at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 27, at Ashley Booth Field in Myrtle Beach, according to a news release from the City of Myrtle Beach.
