HORRY COUNTY, SC (WMBF) – A 28-year-old Little River man was arrested for sexually assaulting a female victim multiple times between her 8th and 9th birthdays, from July 2013 to March 2014, according to police documents.

The incident reports from Horry County Police allege that Edward Allen Rutter had sexual intercourse with the victim multiple times while visiting her, with the victim describing the sexual conduct in graphic detail. The reports also allege that Rutter showed the victim pornography.

Rutter was booked into J. Reuben Long Detention Center on Monday three counts: first-degree criminal sexual conduct, third-degree criminal sexual conduct, and disseminating obscene material to a minor.

The report was originally made in Sumter County on April 4, and was forwarded to the Horry County Police Department, as that is where the alleged sexual conduct occurred.

As of Tuesday afternoon, Rutter remained incarcerated at J. Reuben Long Detention Center, and bail had not been set.
