Man submits to DCSO for firing shots into vehicle

DARLINGTON, SC (WMBF) - A Florence man turned himself into the Darlington County Sheriff's Office on Monday, June 22, 2015, for firing shots into a vehicle with two people inside after an altercation in Darlington on Sunday, June 21, 2015.  

Michael Mishawn Pigett, age 26, has been charged with two counts of attempted murder, two counts of pointing and presenting a firearm at a person, possession of a weapon during a violent crime, discharging a firearm into a vehicle while occupied, and malicious injury to personal property more than $2000 but less than $10,000, according to the DCSO.

Pigett's bond hearing was held on June 23, 2015 at 4 p.m., where he was denied bond on all counts, Darlington County Sheriff Wayne Byrd said.

Pigett remains in the Darlington County Detention Center.
