MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) - Military dads are missing their families this Father's Day, sending a care package could brighten their day.

Over 10,000 troops in Iraq & Afghanistan are serving today putting their lives at risk.

Many of us don't realize being a military father can be very difficult, they have no control over their day, they fight hard from dusk to dawn, and don't get to see their children every night.

According to Col. Arthur C. Pace, being a military father is a challenging role, and a daunting responsibility. These great Americans struggle to balance the calling of their country with the calling of their families. Military dads are routinely called to distant locations to train or fight.

Although many won't get a chance to see the troops on this Father's Day, sending them a care pack can go a long way.

The care package contains items such as Hot Apple Cider, beef jerky, trail mix, Oreo's, Gourmet Coffee, deodorant, a personal note from you, and more. You can purchase a care package at  Move America Forward.

It's never to late to send a gift.

Showing your love and support to military families can bring a warm smile to a home that they all deserve to have.
