Man arrested for assaulting a Walmart employee Friday

 MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) -  Myrtle Beach Police were dispatched Friday morning to reports of an assault outside the Walmart on Seaboard Street between a male and a Walmart employee.

The victim had received calls that 61 year old Major Adam Bellamy, was removing metal from the dumpster, she then made her way outside and told the offender to leave. The victim also approached the offender vehicle and tried to stop him, Bellamy continued throwing items in his truck and towards the victim.

The victim started to remove items from Bellamy's truck and place them back into the dumpster, the offender then got back on foot and swung a silver piece of metal at the victim.

Witnessed moved in to help and detain the offender.

MBPD arrived on the scene and hand cuffed Bellamy.

As Bellamy was being checked out by EMS, he continued to threaten the victim and others around.

Bellamy was placed under arrest for assault and battery and transported to MBPD.
