Tree falls on car in Green Sea

GREEN SEA, SC (WMBF) - A woman said she was driving near Loris when a tree fell on her car Friday.

Janice Hewitt, of Green Sea, said she was driving her Hyundai Tuscon in a rain and hail storm. She said she looked up and saw a tree coming down.

Hewitt suffered from some scratches and bruising on her arm but was okay.

Nearby areas saw lightning, rain and heard thunder Friday after a hot day.
