Georgetown deputies search for strong armed robbery suspect

ANDREWS, SC (WMBF) - The Georgetown County Sheriff's Office is asking for the public's help in providing any information relating to a strong armed robbery that reportedly happened at Thelma & Louise's Bait & Tackle at 828 S. Morgan in the Andrews section of Georgetown County.

According to the sheriff's office, at approximately 4:15 p.m. on June 19, one suspect entered the tackle shop, removed a beverage from a refrigerated cooler and proceeded to the cashier.

Once at the counter, the suspect jumped over the counter and removed cash from the register, deputies said.

The suspect then exited the business and fled in an unknown direction of travel with an undisclosed amount of cash. No one was injured during the robbery.

The suspect is described as a white male approximately 6'02” in height, approximately 250 pounds, wearing a green shirt and blue shorts. Suspect has brownish hair and has a scar on the back of his head.

The suspect vehicle is described as an early 90's model Chevrolet Blazer either Tan or Silver in color with a white driver's side door bearing a paper vehicle license tag.

Anyone who has any information on the identity of the suspects or any information about the

robbery is asked to contact the Georgetown County Sheriff's Office at (843) 546-5101.
