Dustin Johnson out in front at U.S. Open

UNIVERSITY PLACE, WASHINGTON (WMBF) - Former Coastal Carolina star Dustin Johnson is tied for first place after the first round of the 115th U.S. Open after shooting a five under 65. He is tied with Henrik Stenson. Johnson recorded six birdies in his opening round, and gave one back with a bogey on the ninth hole.

The conditions at Chambers Bay provided a lot of issues for golfers, including Tiger Woods, who finished ten over par, tied for 152nd. There are 156 entries in the field for the first two rounds.

Johnson tees off at 5:17 eastern time on Friday in the second round as he looks to maintain his lead, and capture the first major championship of his career.
