Woman arrested for shooting 3 people at Lumberton apartment in June

LUMBERTON, NC (WMBF) – A 29-year-old woman was arrested and charged with three counts of attempted murder for a shooting on June 6 at the Holly Ridge Apartments in Lumberton.

After an investigation into the shooting, Sheena King was identified as the suspect, and on Thursday, October 8, King was taken into custody without incident. She was charge with three counts of attempted first-degree murder, three counts of robbery with a dangerous weapon, and three counts of assault with a deadly weapon intent to kill inflicting serious injuries. She received a $1 million bond and is being held at the Robeson County Detention Center.

Three people were shot and seriously injured at an apartment complex in Lumberton on Thursday, June 6.

At about 7:12 p.m. Thursday, Lumberton Police officers were dispatched to the Holly Ridge apartment complex on Sinclair Street for a call of shots fired, according to a news release from the department. The officer did not find anyone at the scene, but did find evidence of a shooting.

A few minutes later, a nearby hospital reported to police that three people who were shot were at their facility. A 27-year-old man, a 34-year-old man, and a 27-year-old woman all received serious injuries.
