MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) – Two people were stabbed by an 18-year-old suspect at the Diplomat Hotel in Myrtle Beach Thursday morning, according to Lt. Joey Crosby with Myrtle Beach Police.

Crisanto Raygoza was arrested by MBPD and charged in connection with this incident, officials confirmed.

Police responded to the call for the stabbing at about 11:25 a.m., Lt. Crosby said. Two people were transported to the hospital, and their conditions are not known at this time.

Raygoza was taken into custody and charged with attempted murder, assault and battery – second degree, and possession of a weapon during a violent crime. On Friday, he appeared before a Myrtle Beach municipal judge where he was denied bond for the attempted murder charge, and bond was set at $100,000 for each of the other two charges, for a total of $200,000. A circuit court judge is required to set bond for the attempted murder charge.

From the initial investigation, Crosby said they believe this incident stemmed from a family dispute.

The Diplomat Hotel is located at 608 N. Ocean Boulevard. Ocean Boulevard was partially blocked off by law enforcement officials Thursday morning while they were at the scene investigating.
