Dispose of drugs for free in Darlington County

DARLINGTON COUNTY, SC (WMBF) - The Hartsville Police Department and the Darlington County Sheriff's Office are teaming up to host a free drug take back event on June 20, 2015 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., according to Hartsville Police Department's Facebook page.

They will accept any expired, used or unneeded medicines will at the following drop off locations:

·         Darlington County Sheriff's Office at 1621 Harry Byrd Hwy. (Hwy. 151), Darlington, SC 29532 Phone: (843)-398-4501

·         Walgreen's at 1005 S. Governor Williams Hwy., Darlington, SC 29532 Phone:(843)-393-2679

·         Walgreen's at 901 S. 5th St., Hartsville, SC 29550 Phone: (843)-332-4523

·         Society Hill Police Department at 280 S. Main St., Society Hill, SC 29593 Phone: (843)-378-4684

The medicines will be disposed of properly by the police officers.

The event is sponsored by the Pee Dee Regional Coordinating Council, local Law Enforcement, local Pharmacies and the DEA, according to the web posting.
