Brookgreen Gardens hosting two upcoming summer events

MURRELLS INLET, SC (WMBF) - Brookgreen Gardens will host “An Evening in Hollywood: Wines from the Movies” wine tasting and silent auction on June 13, 2015 from 5:30 p.m. until 8 p.m., and will begin its annual Cool Summer Evenings performances on June 10, 2015 at 7 p.m.

The red carpet wine tasting event will feature red and white wines and complimentary light hors d'oeuvres and will be held in the Live Oak Allee, according to a news release from Brookgreen Gardens.

Tickets are $50 for members and $65 for non-members; tickets include wine tastings, a signature wine glass, food pairings, and live music. The proceeds benefit the gardens throughout the year.

Cool Summer Evenings offers entertainment, boat rides, and programs for children on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays until 9 p.m. through August 7, 2015, the release states. Everyone is encouraged to bring lawn chairs and blankets to enjoy the concerts on Wednesday and Friday nights.

The Pavilion restaurant will close at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesdays and Fridays and The Lowcountry Trail and Zoo at 7:00 p.m. each day. Picnics must be enjoyed in the Picnic Area near Jessamine Pond.

Cool Summer Evenings is included in general admission and boat ride tickets are an additional fee of $8. Please no alcoholic beverages.
