30-year-old victim dies weeks after motorcycle accident

MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) - A 30-year-old victim is dead after a motorcycle accident that occurred on May 21, 2015.

According to Horry County Deputy Coroner, Darris Fowler, the victim was identified as Reginald Rivers. Rivers died Sunday around 11 a.m.

Officials say the accident occurred on May 21 around 7:10 p.m. on Harrelson Boulevard, east of Highway 15. Rivers loss control of the motorcycle, and was taken to Grand Strand Medical Center as a trauma case.

The victim died due to multiple trauma from the crash, and officials say Rivers was not wearing a helmet.

According to the coroner's office, the incident was ruled an accidental death. Myrtle Beach Police Department is investigating this incident.
