DARLINGTON, SC (WMBF) – A Darlington woman surrendered to authorities after failing to pay over $24,000 in state taxes in 2010 and 2011, according to the South Carolina Department of Revenue.

Dana Davis Moore, 51, the owner and operator of J Davis Enterprise, Inc., was responsible for making tax payments and filing returns on behalf of the corporation, the SCDOR states in a news release. In 2010 and 2011, she knowingly failed to meet these responsibilities, and now owes a total debt of $24,702.

Moore has been charged with two counts of failure to truthfully account for and pay over tax, and if convicted, faces up to $10,000 in fines, and or five years in prison for each count. She is being held at the Darlington County Detention center, awaiting a bond hearing.
