The Bowery's house band to perform at Carolina Country Music Fest

MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) - A local band will be added to the lineup of artists performing at the Carolina Country Music Fest in June.

According to event officials, Lee Travis and The Bounty Hunters will perform Thursday. The Bounty Hunters band is also the house band of The Bowery, a Myrtle Beach landmark located at 110 9th Avenue North that features drinks and live music.

Officials from The Bowery say The Bounty Hunters perform six nights a week for eight consecutive months. Lee Travis has been the band's front man for six years. Travis sings, plays guitar, and writes songs.

Officials say in the winter when The Bowery is down, The Bounty Hunters travel across the country to perform. They have opened up for Vince Gill, Patty Loveless, Johnny Paycheck, Lee Roy Parnell and more. The Bowery officials say, “They are highly sought after as an opening act because they represent what these major artists are looking for: total professionals with their own sound and the ability to bring an audience to its feet.”
