Surfside Beach woman designs toilet paper wedding gown to compete in national contest

SURFSIDE BEACH, SC (WMBF) - A Surfside Beach woman is competing in a toilet paper wedding dress contest again.

Mimoza Haska has created “Silhouette of my Garden.” It's the fourth toilet-paper dress created to compete in a contest put on by Cheap Chic Weddings and sponsored by Charmin.

Haska described the gown, made with 40 rolls of Charmin toilet paper and glue, as “very dressy and classy.”

The dress dons toilet paper-petals that have been “pressed down to create a heavy look,” Haska explained.

Haska said the 2015 gown is completely different than last year.

“Every year, [the gowns] are unique. It's a creation,” she said.

“An idea goes through your head, it's a vision -- with a lot of testing,” Haska added.

The gown will be transported by air to Kleinfeld Bridal in New York City to be entered in the 2015 11th Annual Toilet Paper Wedding Dress Contest on June 17.
