Hotel search engine lists Myrtle Beach as top beach destination among US travelers

MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) - Trivago.com found that Myrtle Beach is the top beach destination among U.S. travelers for 2015.

According to the hotel search engine, the shores on the east coast proved to be the most popular. “We continue to be so appreciative of all of our first-time and returning guests who choose the Myrtle Beach area as their summer vacation destination,” said Brad Dean, president and CEO of the Myrtle Beach Area Chamber of Commerce.

According to U.S. traveler searches on Trivago.com, these are the top 10 most popular American beaches:

· Myrtle Beach

· Virginia Beach

· Ocean City

· Miami Beach

· Panama City Beach

· Key West

· Honolulu

· Destin

· Atlantic City
