Barefoot Landing's Summerfest returns in June

NORTH MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) - Barefoot Landing's 2015 Summerfest Entertainment Series will begin June 1.

According to a press release from event officials, Barefoot Landing, North Myrtle Beach'S Waterway center's Summerfest will last through August 29. "Barefoot Landing is known as a charming place where families go to relax and unwind," said Kim Kelley, marketing manager for Burroughs & Chapin Company, Inc. "With the addition of family entertainment and a variety of musicians, Barefoot Landing is a great place to take the family for a summer evening out," she said.

During Summerfest, there will be local musicians, old and new, officials say.

Officials say Nick Pike, a semi-finalist from “American's Got Talent” will return with juggling, comedy and uni-cycling. Pike will perform every Monday, Tuesday, and Saturday at 7 p.m. and 8 p.m.

Another event that will return to Summerfest is Kid's Karaoke with Larry Tanelli. Children can showcase their talents every Sunday, Tuesday, and Wednesday from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. There will also be stilt walkers, living statues, and face painting available, officials say.

According to the release, new musicians that will join Summerfest include Justin Hoke on Friday nights from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Steel drummer, Tim Peterman will perform on Tuesdays, and Thursdays from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m., and Jazz musician, Don Colton will perform on Sundays, Mondays, and Wednesdays from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m.

Every Saturday during Summerfest, The Character Company's Super Heroes will meet and greet kids from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., and Princesses from children's stories will make appearances on Sunday from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., officials say.

According to officials, Barefoot Landing's fireworks shows will be held on Mondays at 10:15 p.m.
