Man charged for drug trafficking in Marion

MARION, SC (WMBF) - A Marion man was charged Wednesday in a five-count indictment for drug trafficking by a Grand Jury in Florence, according to the office of United States Attorney Bill Nettles.

Gabriel Emanuel Foxworth, 27, was charged with intent to distribute marijuana, felon in possession of a firearm, and possession of a firearm in furtherance of a drug trafficking crime.

Foxworth could face a maximum penalty of life in prison.

The case was investigated by agents of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) and Marion County Sheriff's Office and the prosecution is assigned to Assistant United States Attorney Christopher D. Taylor of Florence.
