Florence County School District 4 schools back in session Monday

FLORENCE, SC (WMBF) - All Florence County School District Four schools will be back in session Monday, according to the district's official Facebook page.

Officials say all events scheduled off campus due to the power outage will remain off campus.

Due to a power outage, school has been canceled for students, faculty, and staff Friday, May 29.

Brockington Elementary, Johnson Middle and Timmonsville High will be closed, said Administrative Assistant Annie Murray.

The Pee Dee Electric Cooperative determined that the cause of the outage was bad FSD4 underground cabling. Crews were on site Wednesday to assist district personnel with the problem, after responding to a call for service at the Timmonsville Education Center.
