DARLINGTON COUNTY, SC (WMBF) – A home is destroyed after a fire in Lamar Tuesday.

Darlington County Fire Department crews contained a fire at a structure located on Gully Branch Road around 4:50 p.m. Officials say four children and two adults were inside, but they all made it out safe.

According to Deputy Chief, Ricky Flowers with the DCFD, the structure was fully engulfed. Chief Flowers says fire officials don't believe the source of the fire was suspicious, and they think the fire was accidental. Officials also think the cause of the fire was electrical.

In addition to the DCFD, the Darlington County Sheriff's Office, and EMS responded to the fire.

The American Red Cross is assisting the occupants of the home.
