Police respond to 2 reports of armed robbery at Myrtle Beach hotel

MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) – Myrtle Beach Police responded to the Captain's Quarters Resort twice on Sunday after two reports of armed robberies at the hotel on South Ocean Boulevard.

On Saturday night at about 10:44 p.m., a woman was robbed at gunpoint while she was in her vehicle in the parking garage at the Captain's Quarters Resort, according to a Myrtle Beach Police report.

Officers responded to the 900 block of South Ocean Boulevard at about 1 a.m. Sunday morning in reference to an armed robbery, the report states. The victim said she was sitting in her parked vehicle when a man wearing a hoodie tapped on her window, revealed a silver handgun.

According to the report, the suspect said to the victim: “Give me all you got,” and she gave him her watch, cell phone, and $350 in cash. The suspect then walked away towards the elevators.

The victim tried to track her cell phone, but was unable to, because it was turned off, the report states.

At about 3:30 a.m. Sunday, police again responded the Captain's Quarters, and four victims told them that as they pulled into the parking lot at the hotel, they were stopped by several men who were throwing money into their car, according to the MBPD report. The men followed the victims up to their room, and two suspects followed them inside.

According to the report, one of the suspects pulled a gun and said: “You think this is a game?” One of the victims asked the suspect: “Are you really going to rob a room full of women?” The victims gave the suspect about $25 in one dollar bills, and the suspect grabbed a Samsung Galaxy S5 phone from one of the victims.
