Drivers confused as traffic returns to normal in Myrtle Beach

MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) - Myrtle Beach officials were busy removing one-way traffic signs Monday morning, leaving the pedestrian barricades and some confusion in their wake.

Officials confirmed traffic officially reopened to two-way traffic Monday morning. City trucks and police cars were moving around to remove some barricades.

WMBF News crews reported some drivers seemed confused about whether they could drive and where pedestrians could walk. Police said the pedestrian barricades would come down on Monday as well. Officers ask for patience because it takes time to remove all the signs and barricades.

Ocean Boulevard will be blocked both ways again for the Memorial Day parade, which begins at 9 a.m., from 16th Avenue North to 9th Avenue North.
