Teen wanted for causing over $10,000 in damage to unfinished home

MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) – Police are looking for a man who allegedly broke into a home under construction in July of 2014 and did over $12,000 worth of damage to it.

Dustin Michael Mock, 19, is wanted by the Myrtle Beach Police Department for burglary third degree and malicious damage to property, value more than $10,000, for damage that was done to an unfinished home in the 8900 block of North Ocean Boulevard on July 13, 2014, according to police documents.

The police report states that when the complainant arrived at the home site, they found the window on the porch smashed in, paint poured on the unfinished hardwood, an icemaker and wine cooler had been damaged, holes were in the walls upstairs, outdoor lighting had been destroyed, and some type of liquid was poured on the stairs.

The complainant told police that the total cost of the damage was estimated to be $12,100.

Officers found blood on the balcony railing and handprints on the windows, according to the report.

According to a news release put out by police on May 19, Dustin Mock is described as a 19-year-old, 6-foot-4-inch tall, 180-pound white male with red hair and a light complexion. His last known address is 1813 Barberry Drive, 304E in Myrtle Beach.
